FAQ

Questions worth
asking upfront.

The things most people want to know before they book. Anything not covered here — just ask on the intake form.

How is pricing worked out?

Most small jobs are quoted as a flat rate after a quick description or photo. Larger or multi-day jobs are quoted hourly plus materials, with an estimate given before any work starts — no surprise charges at the end.

What areas do you serve?

Steve works throughout the local area and nearby neighborhoods. If you're unsure whether your address is in range, mention it on the intake form and you'll get a quick answer.

How far out is scheduling?

It varies with the season, but most jobs are booked within one to two weeks. Smaller repairs can sometimes be slotted in sooner — ask when you submit your request.

Do I need to supply materials?

Either way works. Steve can pick up standard materials and add the cost to the quote, or you can supply your own if you already have something specific in mind.

Is there a minimum job size?

No formal minimum, but very small jobs (under an hour) may be billed at a flat minimum service rate to cover travel and setup — this will always be stated in your quote first.

Do you take on emergency repairs?

Steve prioritizes urgent issues like active leaks or safety hazards when scheduling allows. Mark your request as urgent on the intake form and you'll hear back as quickly as possible.

Is there a guarantee on the work?

Yes. If something isn't right after a job is finished, Steve will come back and make it right at no extra charge.

Still have a question?

Ask it right on the intake form — Steve reads every one.
